In Wisconsin Rapids, there will be visitation for friends and family from 4 to 6 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home on East Grand Avenue on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Sisters of St. Agnes Development Fund.

Louise and Radolph Brault were married on Oct. 1, 1929, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, residing in Two Rivers during their marriage. Radolph died in 1975. In 1991, Louise moved to Wisconsin Rapids. She lived at River Run Apartments until 1999 when she moved to Wellington Place in Stevens Point.

Louise was a dedicated homemaker, talented at crocheting, tailoring, sewing, as well as refurbishing every home they lived in. An excellent cook and baker, she also loved her flower and vegetable gardens. In retirement, she loved to play Scrabble with her family. In addition, Louise had great interest in genealogy after she retired, researching and documenting the history of the Brault, Belonger, Wegner and Metz families.

In Two Rivers, Louise worked at Montgomery Ward and Schroeder's Department Store for many years, retiring at 72. In later life, she enjoyed traveling, visiting Japan, Hong Kong, the Holy Land, South America, East Africa, Italy, Greece, Yugoslavia, the Balkans and Germany. She researched each trip, writing a diary and taking slides, which she organized upon her return. Her primary focus was always her home, family and grandchildren. An energetic, focused and dedicated person, she had high standards and inspired those who knew her to set objectives for themselves.

Surviving children are Sister Lucy Brault, C.S.A., Fond du Lac, Paul (Mary Ellen) Brault, Snoqualmie Pass, Wash., and Marion (Charles) Ruelle, Wisconsin Rapids. Louise also leaves eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.
