View this Videotribute Laura I. Jinsky, 84, of 1530 47th St. S., Wisconsin Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at Strawberry Lane Medical & Rehabilitation Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at the Moravian Church. The Rev. Tammie Rinker will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum. Laura was born Oct. 21, 1922, in Wood County, to Clarence and Ida Mae (Peterson) Miller. She married Kenneth Jinsky Sr. on June 22, 1946, in Wisconsin Rapids. She and her husband built several houses in the tri-city area, and Laura gave great attention to detail in decorating and building homes. She also loved to sew, cook, needlepoint, and go to garage sales. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Sr. of Wisconsin Rapids; one son, Kenneth Jr. of Biron; two daughters, Susan (David) Eckes, and Tama (fiance, Ralph Woollums) Jinsky, both of Wisconsin Rapids; three grandchildren, Edward and Chad Eckes, and Mark Rustad Jr., and one great-granddaughter, Amanda Lamb of Nekoosa. She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Eckes Jr.; her parents; one brother; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Higgins Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Heart and Kidney associations. A very special thank you to Dr. Ewert and the dialysis staff and the staff at Strawberry Lane Medical & Rehabilitation Center. Laura was a wonderful mother and deeply loved by her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, Amanda. She was a good person with a kind heart. "She will be greatly missed." .
