View this Videotribute Elizabeth M. Baierl, 100, of 2210 Washington St., Wisconsin Rapids, died Saturday evening, July 19, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Andrew Karoblis will officiate. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Higgins.
Elizabeth was born Sept. 23, 1907, in Auburndale to Michael and Teckla (Griener) Kundinger. She attended Sunshine Elementary and St. Mary's High School in Auburndale. She married Leo Baierl on April 19, 1932, in Auburndale. He died in July 1985.
Survivors include four sons, Ronald, Robert, Vernon and Daniel (Carol), all of Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters, Joan Kessler of Port Edwards and Bernadette (Richard) Jeffery of Panama City, Fla. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Eugene; two grandsons; son-in-law, Gordon Kessler; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Baierl; and her brothers and sisters.
Higgins Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
